Notes

'Pardon My Cerise' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Pardon My Cerise') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clumping, fragrant mound and blooms in summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Purple Coneflower coneflower, Big bluestem, and False indigo.
