Notes

'Pardon My Purple' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Pardon My Purple') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees visit the blooms, and the leaves have a minty aroma. It can get powdery mildew, so give it good air flow. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Blue-eyed grass.
