Notes
'Pardon My Lavender' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Pardon My Lavender') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its fragrant, pale lavender-pink flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Blue wild indigo, and Big bluestem.
