Notes

'Patti O' Japanese holly (Ilex crenata 'Patti O') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundations, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen mound, and bees visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer. You can plant it in a row for a low hedge.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Mavis Simpson crane's-bill.
