Notes

'Pendulum' katsura tree (Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'Pendulum') is a tree for specimen, accent, and winter interest planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. Its arching branches weep gracefully and grow at a moderate pace. Small reddish-green flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. The leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Star magnolia, Christmas fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
