Notes

'Pie' coneflower (Echinacea 'Pie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late summer and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. The flowers are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Paprika yarrow, Nodding onion, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
