Notes

Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a perennial for borders, containers, specimen planting, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen clump with gray, green, and red leaves. Purple to red flowers appear on mature plants.

Pairs well with European fan palm, Mondo grass, Red ginger, and Red spider lily.
