Notes
Pink banana (Musa velutina) is a perennial for containers, food gardens, and use as a specimen or accent. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It rarely grows larger than eight feet and suckers freely, so give it room to spread. Upright, fuzzy, hot pink flowers are followed by small pink fruit with many seeds.
Pairs well with Little Gem southern magnolia, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Anemone.

Asia.
