Notes

Pink Texas skullcap (Scutellaria suffrutescens) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Pink to rose flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn over small gray-green leaves. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Gaura, Blue grama, Rock rose, and Purple top.
