Notes

'Preference' dahlia (Dahlia 'Preference') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows about 47 to 59 inches tall and blooms in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Moerheim Beauty sneezeweed, Vedrariensis lobelia, Purple top, and Rosemary.
