'Princess Erika' dahlia (Dahlia 'Princess Erika') is a bulb for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Its large, fully double blooms are yellow and fade to orange and deep pink on sturdy stems. Butterflies visit the flowers. Lift the tubers and store them in a cool, dry place indoors if your winters are wet.
Pairs well with Globemaster allium, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Elfin mother of thyme.
