Notes

'Procyon' dahlia (Dahlia 'Procyon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The red blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. K. Maarse Jr. bred it.

Pairs well with Casa Blanca lily, Purple top, Montbretia, and Anise-scented sage.
