Notes

Purple granadilla (Passiflora edulis) is a vine for borders, containers, and xeriscape. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is evergreen and can climb 10 to 15 feet. White flowers with purple-based filaments open in spring, summer, and autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan vine, Shrimp plant, Red ginger, and Mexican bush sage.
