Notes
'Purple Magic' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia 'Purple Magic') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is drought tolerant and needs little care once settled. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Flowers open in summer, so it adds color to the garden when many spring plants fade.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Agapanthus, and Orange daylily.
