Notes

Orange daylily (Hemerocallis fulva) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Tawny orange flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Once settled in, the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Caradonna sage, Silver feather grass, and Blue Paradise garden phlox.
