Notes

'Pygmaea' hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Pygmaea') is a shrub for borders, containers, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows at a moderate pace into a broad, evergreen mound about 2 to 3 feet tall. It is also drought tolerant once settled in.

Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Sedge, and Wintergreen.
