Notes
Rattlesnake plant (Goeppertia insignis) is a perennial for containers, low maintenance gardens, and indoor spaces. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 11 and warmer, down to about 40°F (4°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. The wavy leaf edges carry a spotted pattern, and the undersides are purple-red. It needs heat and humidity and rarely blooms indoors.
Pairs well with Prayer plant, Boston fern, and Brasil velvet-leaf philodendron.
