Notes

'Red Dragon' knotweed (Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 24 to 30 inches tall and spreads 30 to 36 inches, so give it room. White flowers appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Daffodil, and Damask rose.
