Notes
Red feather clover (Trifolium rubens) is a perennial for food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fuzzy silver buds on short spikes open to magenta-red flowers from early to late summer. Bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies visit the blooms, and you can cut the stems for bouquets. It grows in a tidy clump and does not spread.
Pairs well with Purple Ruffles basil, Lemon balm, and Chocolate Soldier peony.
