'Red Velvet' echeveria (Echeveria 'Red Velvet') is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and succulent collections. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Its tightly packed rosettes of pale whitish blue leaves flush reddish at the tips. Bright light or a little stress from dry soil brings out its richest colors.
Pairs well with Lemon Coral sedum, Purple sage, and Vetiver.
