Notes
'Robinson's Red' pyrethrum (Tanacetum coccineum 'Robinson's Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and the fragrant flowers attract butterflies and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It stands 24 to 36 inches tall, so place it toward the middle of the bed.
Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Catmint, and Sedge.
