Notes
Pyrethrum (Tanacetum coccineum) is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy soil. White, pink, or red flowers with yellow centers open from early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer tend to browse other plants first. The plant stands erect and grows 24 to 36 inches tall.
Pairs well with Purple cranesbill, Iris, and Yarrow.
