Notes

'Romantique' dahlia (Dahlia 'Romantique') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The purple-red blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. Berbee bred it, and it grows about 47 inches tall.

Pairs well with Butterfly bush, Lamb’s ear, Bigleaf hydrangea, and Jackmanii clematis.
