'Royal Purple' corydalis (Corydalis flexuosa 'Royal Purple') is a perennial for ground cover and shady spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. It grows 4 to 8 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches. Fragrant blue flowers open from early to late spring and attract butterflies.
