Notes

Norway spruce (Picea abies) is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and keeps a conical shape with green evergreen needles that birds visit. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it plenty of space to reach its full size.

Pairs well with Danica American arborvitae, Rock soapwort, and Red fescue.
