Notes

'Ruby Giant' autumn crocus (Crocus tommasinianus 'Ruby Giant') is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade, average moisture, and most soil types. It forms clumps 3 to 6 inches tall and wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The deep violet-purple flowers attract bees.

Pairs well with Common snowdrop, Coralbells, Sedge, and Wintergreen.
