Notes

'San Fernando' rose (Rosa 'San Fernando') is an upright shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant, medium red blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Theodore J. Morris bred it in 1948.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Blue star creeper, Stargazer lily, and Buffalo grass.
