Notes

Sandia mountain alumroot (Heuchera pulchella) is a perennial for the front of borders and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It forms small evergreen mounds of green, ruffled foliage that turns red in fall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Rose-pink flowers top burgundy stems from early to late summer and attract hummingbirds and bees.

Pairs well with Gardenia peony, Tall fescue, and Grape hyacinth.
