Notes

Grape hyacinth (Muscari latifolium) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Spikes of purple-black flowers are topped with royal blue ones in spring. The fragrant blooms draw bees, and the bulbs naturalize readily into drifts. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Columbine, and Spanish bluebell.
