Notes
'Sandra' dahlia (Dahlia 'Sandra') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows about 43 inches tall and bears purple-red blooms in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. H.G.J. Broekhof bred it in 1994.
Pairs well with Purple top, Blue Angel hosta, and Southern magnolia.
