Notes

'Scarlet Leader' daffodil (Narcissus 'Scarlet Leader') is a bulb for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant flowers have cream yellow petals around a frilled, scarlet-orange cup, and they draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Mrs. R.O. Backhouse bred it.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Greig's tulip, and Monsieur Jules Elie peony.
