Notes

'Scarlet Oak' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Scarlet Oak') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and wide, and the red flowers are fragrant. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Brown-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Foxtail barley.
