Notes

Lungwort (Pulmonaria longifolia) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland edges, ground cover, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It forms a slow, clumping mound of gray-silver and green leaves. Purple-blue flowers open in early to late spring and attract hummingbirds.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Yellow trout-lily, and Ice Follies daffodil.
