Notes

Sea lavender (Limonium platyphyllum) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It bears lavender blue flowers from early to late summer. Bees visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought once settled in.

Pairs well with Alexander Fleming peony, Hansa rose, and Foxtail barley.

Southeastern and central Europe.
