Notes

'Hansa' rose (Rosa 'Hansa') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. Medium red, fragrant blooms open from early to late summer and attract bees. Large scarlet hips follow the flowers. It suckers profusely, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea, Paprika yarrow, and Ernest Markham clematis.
