Notes

Seaside woolly sunflower (Eriophyllum staechadifolium) is a subshrub for borders, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy soil. Yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies and bees. Deer tend to pass it by. The evergreen leaves tolerate drought and salt.

Pairs well with Seaside daisy, Carleton's sand verbena, and Hummingbird sage.
