Notes

'Shima' mock orange (Pittosporum tobira 'Shima') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, containers, and foundation planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. It grows fast into a dense, evergreen shape with fragrant flowers in early to late spring. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Oleander, Purple sage, and Mondo grass.
