Notes

Silver ponysfoot (Dichondra argentea) is a perennial for containers, rock gardens, ground cover, and low maintenance spots. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. The silver gray leaves look metallic in the sun. It grows fast and spreads wide, so give it room to cover large areas.

Pairs well with Silver squill, Dark Star ceanothus, Bumble Rumble dahlia, and Rex begonia.
