Notes

'Dark Star' ceanothus (Ceanothus 'Dark Star') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. This fragrant evergreen tolerates drought and salt, and bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it room, since it spreads wide.

Pairs well with Goldenrod, Pomegranate, and Lemongrass.
