Notes
Simpson's stopper (Myrcianthes fragrans) is an evergreen shrub for borders, hedges, and xeriscape plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The white flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and birds. It tolerates drought and salt, so it needs little care once it is settled in.
Pairs well with Coco plum, Island marlberry, Deergrass, and Perfumed spider lily.
