Notes
Perfumed spider lily (Hymenocallis latifolia) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant white flowers sit at the end of a tall stalk, and each one has six narrow petals that curve back. The leathery leaves stay green all year.
Pairs well with Big bluestem, Adam's needle, and Night-blooming jasmine.
