Notes

Skeleton-leaf goldeneye (Sidneya tenuifolia) is a shrub for low maintenance beds and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry soil of most types. Deer tend to pass it by. Yellow-orange daisy-like flowers bloom on leafless stalks and attract bees and butterflies. Cut the spent flowers to keep it tidy and to promote more blooming.

Pairs well with Autumn sage, Blackfoot daisy, and Texas lantana.
