Notes

Texas lantana (Lantana urticoides) is a shrub for low maintenance beds, ground cover, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Red, orange, and yellow flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds from spring to autumn, and the stems get thorny with age, so wear gloves when you prune. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Purple sage, Prickly-pear, Texas mountain laurel, and Lemongrass.
