Notes
'Snow Velvet' mock orange (Philadelphus 'Snow Velvet') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and wide, so give it room. Semi-double white flowers open in late spring and again in early to late summer, and they are fragrant.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Prairie dropseed, Duchesse de Nemours peony, and Cinnamon fern.
