Notes
'Soft Serve' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Soft Serve') is a shrub for borders, specimens, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is an evergreen with an open habit and a moderate growth rate. It also tolerates drought, so it suits low care spots.
Pairs well with Mugo pine, Winterberry, Christmas fern, and Prairie dropseed.
