Notes

'Solar Flare' coneflower (Echinacea 'Solar Flare') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pinkish red, fragrant blooms open from early to late summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit them, and the plant tolerates drought. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Stargazer lily, and Blue Star common juniper.
