Notes

'Blue Star' common juniper (Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star') is a shrub for rock gardens, borders, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is an evergreen with a dense habit that grows slowly and tolerates drought, so it needs little care. Deer tend to pass it by. You can tuck it between larger plants for year-round color.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Blazing star, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Little Lime panicle hydrangea.
