Notes
'Sonata Series' cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus 'Sonata Series') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast into a clumping mound 12 to 24 inches tall and wide, and it tolerates drought. Deer tend to pass it by. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Cerise Queen yarrow, and Red fescue.
