Notes

'Sophia' begonia (Begonia 'Sophia') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and foundation plantings. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil. It bears pink blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It reaches 36 to 48 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide.

Pairs well with Southern shield fern, Japanese aralia, and Polka dot plant.
