Notes

Sophora (Sophora davidii) is a shrub for hedges and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into an erect shrub that reaches 6 to 8 feet tall and wide. Pale blue to white flowers appear in spring and again in summer. The blooms are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Damask rose, Orange daylily, Fountain grass, and Japanese maple.
